The new interface tour

The Phase Manager interface is designed to provide you with easy navigation and a dashboard of your current project.

note: you can click on the blocks in the images below to learn more about their role.

The sidebar menu gives access to the main interfaces of Phase Manager..

1-phasage: This is essentially from here that the project is built and are defined its components (drawings, phases, areas and axes, connected objects) and tasks associated. Tasks can be created and managed from here, including directly from within the dynamic Gantt diagram.
2-activites: This interface allows you to work with maximum visibility on tasks lists, allowing to visualize and modify their association with connected areas, phases and objects.
Deliverables: It is from here that you will create, update and customize the content and presentation of the deliverables: Phasing books and Sequential books.
6-impression: By clicking on this icon you can access the window that allows you to start printing the deliverables.
Page layouts: This interface allows you to create as many page layouts as necessary, which will be used to create the deliverables. For example, you can modify the margins, insert a logo, dynamic fields (page number, phase name, …).
Calendars: Here you will define the calendars used by the project, as well as the associated Periods and Day definitions.
Toolbox: Provides access to the project and Gantt properties management window.

Main screen

The main screen is the dashboard of your project, and it allows you to quickly access all the features of Phase Manager.

Current project

The Current Project and Drawing blocks display information about the current project.

The reduced plan allows you to quickly identify which project you are working on, its name beeing mentioned in the Current project block with useful information to manage your project version:

  • date and time of the last backup
  • folder where the project is saved
  • project size on disk

Workspace

The Workspace block lists all projects within the current workspace (folder containing projects).

One will open a project by double-clicking on its name in the list. To change workspace:

  • use the drop-down menu at the top of the block (list of the 5 last used workspaces),
  • click on the button to specify a new workspace.

Version check

If Phase Manager tells you that your installed version is up to date, you don't have to do anything:

On the other hand, if a new version is available, you are invited to install it by clicking on the download button:

Phase Manager will then start downloading the new version:

Then ask you to save the changes to your open project, before closing:

Important: the update is based on a command window that should not be interrupted or closed (it will close itself at the end of the update):

Phase Manager automatically restarts at the end of the update process.

Language block

This block allows to choose the language of the interface, but also to perform a certain number of operations relating to the opening and backup of projects:

Archive the project: a name for the archive is requested, then a location for the files to be saved to (all the project files are then saved in a directory named after the project).
Opens a project from the current workspace: allows you to view the last modification dates.
Exit Phase Manager
