Customizing a deliverable

The deliverables management interface has been simplified in version 7 to improve the user experience, with just two settings tabs:

  • A “Deliverable” tab, accessible only when the name of the deliverable is selected in the left-hand column.
This tab contains the generic elements of the deliverable, and any changes will apply to all the boards.
  • A “Page” tab, accessible only when the name of a page is selected in the left-hand column.
This tab contains the major customisation elements that can be used, with modifications applying by default only to the selected page.
To find out more, go to the section : Customizing pages

"Deliverables" tab features

This tab allows you to set for the whole deliverable:

Areas color
A deliverable in Phase Manager can “light up” zones according to different colouring modes. Since Phase Manager 7, there are 2 levels of prioritisation for colours:

  • Priority colors (new V7 feature):

Priority colors are attached to the colors defined in the areas categories. Here you can define which zone/axis status should take priority over the attributes defined for your areas categories.

  • Secondary colors:

Secondary colors are used to color zones where no area category is displayed first.
There are three ways of coloring zones and axes:

  • Status color: this is the default color for “in progress”, “started”, “to do” and “completed” zones.

This color can be defined:

  • either by default in the project “properties” (Project menu then Properties),
  • or for the current deliverable in the drop-down menu after selecting the status color option:

  • Zone/axis color: the color defined for each zone and axis in the “create phasing” interface.
  • Task field: depending on the user fields (potentially the task template), you can define colors for your activities.

Deliverable format

A deliverable is also a page format defined by:

  • a Page layout which can be used to display a logo, title, page number, etc. in a header and footer to dress up the deliverable,
  • a Page format (A0 to A5, Arch C, Arch D, Arch E, Ledger, Letter) and orientation,
  • left and/or right-hand margins

Labels

The last setting accessible from this “Deliverables” tab concerns labels. You will be able to/

  1. change the size of your labels (using + and -),
  2. change the display of links between labels and zones,
  3. change the label,
  4. optimise the position of labels on all boards.
